Information about using this website
Accessibility
We want you to be able to use this website with different devices and ways of interacting. Our goal is to align with WCAG 2.2 at conformance level AA. This page describes the available features, our testing so far and its limits.

Using and viewing the website
- Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between links and controls. A visible focus indicator shows your current position.
- The first keyboard link takes you directly to the main content. Headings organise the pages, and the document language is specified in the HTML.
- The FAQ uses native HTML disclosure controls. You can open and close them with Enter or Space. The checklists use native checkboxes with associated labels.
- The pages adapt their layout to the available width. Text can be enlarged; the related checks are described in the next section.
- The system preference for reduced motion is respected. With this preference enabled, scrolling does not use a smooth motion effect.
- The logo has an accessible name. Purely decorative images and SVG motifs are hidden from assistive technologies.
What was tested
The locally built German and English pages were tested in Chrome. Automated checks with axe and Lighthouse were supplemented by keyboard checks in the browser and visual review of screenshots.
Within the tested scope, no violations of the WCAG level A and AA rules covered by these tools were detected. This result applies to the tested rules and states; it does not establish that every WCAG success criterion is met.
- Responsive layouts at widths of 320, 768 and 1440 CSS pixels.
- Additional checks with 200% text enlargement at widths of 320 and 1280 CSS pixels. These changed the text size rather than the browser zoom level.
- Keyboard interaction, including the skip link, mobile menu, FAQ, checklists and section links, along with the reduced-motion preference.
As the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative explains, an automated tool alone cannot establish whether accessibility standards are met. Knowledgeable human evaluation is also required. W3C guidance on evaluating web accessibility
Limits of the testing so far
A complete WCAG conformance assessment has not yet been completed. This information is not a certification or evidence of comprehensive legal compliance.
Dedicated systematic usability sessions with VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS or TalkBack have not been carried out, nor has testing with people with disabilities. Not every combination of browser, operating system and assistive technology has been tested. Checks on real mobile devices and in high-contrast mode are also outstanding.
The automated axe and Lighthouse checks were additionally repeated on the published website on 20 October 2026.
The repeated Lighthouse checks covered the home and contact pages in both languages. The additional axe checks also covered services, about us, privacy, legal notice, example scenarios and the 404 page. Automated contrast checks could not conclusively assess all text on image backgrounds.
